The Buddy Program

International and Israeli Students Come Together
to Create Multicultural Friendships

The Student Union launched its first attempt at an "Adopt a Student Program" this fall. The program is an opportunity for Israeli students from the University of Haifa and international students to come together and make connections. "There are also many Israelis that already take part in international programs and love to meet students from around the world," she added.

Every Student Has A Story: Meet Avery Drongowski

Avery Drongowski hails from Royal Oak, Michigan, USA, although most of her life was spent in the southern state of Tennessee. The North/South experience has played a role in her molding her personality. Maybe that's why, when it was time to go to college, it seemed natural for her to choose Hendrix College in Arkansas, hometown of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Avery had been to Israel before, in fact, she had been to Israel two times previously, but felt that she wanted to experience Israel "as a student" and not as a tourist.
